How to Prepare for your Cosmetic Tattoo

To ensure the absolute best results, it’s so important to take into consideration, the factors that effect healing and retention of the tattoo pigment. Please read the following to prepare for your new brows!

Ordering Pain Relief:

For your comfort, we use compounded, pharmaceutical grade prescription numbing gel! This just requires you to make one quick phone call to the chemist and pay $15.95, this script will last you 12 months and one syringe will last you for your initial treatment as well as your touch up. Your numbing gel will be collected for you and will be ready for you at your appointment. 

Instructions: 
  • Call Jeff Ramsey compounding pharmacy in North Adelaide; 8267 5457
  • Ask the chemist to order “ 10% numbing LIQUID GEL, PH 7, in 5ml dispensing syringe for cosmetic tattoo”
  • This will cost around $15
  • With your permission, I will collect it for you and have it ready for your appointment. If you would like me to do so, please notify the chemist and ensure you have paid.

Avoid the following at least 24 hours before your appointment:a

Consuming any of these will promote bleeding, making it harder to achieve precise work and will result in pigment loss
  • Coffee
  • Energy Drinks
  • Pre-work out
  • Alcohol

Avoid the following at least 2 weeks before your appointment:

  • Fish Oil
  • Medicated skin creams
  • Steroid creams
  • Retinol
  • Acne creams or medications
  • Waxing of the area
  • Sunburn

Avoid the following at least 30 days before your appointment:

  • Anti wrinkle & Dermal fillers (dermal filler applies for Lip Blush tattoo only)
  • Chemical peels
  • Light (laser) treatments
  • Chemotherapy

Cosmetic tattooing is a 2 step process, 4-6 weeks after your initial appointment a “touch up” appointment may be required, I recommend this visit for best results.
